“If I claim full justice for my art, it is because it is an impersonal thing—a thing beyond myself. Crime is common. Logic is rare. Therefore it is upon the logic rather than upon the crime that you should dwell. You have degraded what should have been a course of lectures into a series of tales.”

A collection of Sherlock Holmes short stories. These are so witty and irreverent and clever! I especially appreciate how Dr Watson feels so real, as if he really is a person writing about a friend.

I liked this one better than the previous two books. This was more of a selection of short stories and less of grand adventure. Watson is growing on me.
