I just found this one a little boring. It's not that it was horrible, it was just hard for me to remember that everything that seems cliche is only that way because Doyle invented it.
What was great was Doyle's ability to build atmosphere. I just wish there had been more use of Sherlockian logic since this is the first Sherlock I've read.
I might try others to see if I can get that dose of logic elsewhere. ...more
