There were parts of this book that I really liked and found interesting, but for the majority of it, I had a hard time connecting. Perhaps it's because I don't really understand the lifestyle or apathy of the super rich who can spend their lives doing absolutely nothing. Then again Fitzgerald is considered to be part of the "lost generation" of writers, and that was very apparent here as his main character Amory spent his life searching for something, he just didn't know what. ...more
