This collection of stories has inspired some of America's greatest writers and the soft muted tones can find connections even today. A wonderful book that understands the quiet thoughts of a person. I don't know why, but something about this book really struck me. Maybe it's the timing of a story on small towns as I'm planning a journey to America's small towns, or maybe it's just Anderson's haunting writing style. I don't know, but I will say that I loved it.
