I'm not sure why I held off reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson for as long as I did. Something about me rebelled against the story - maybe it was the fact it was written by two authors or maybe the summary didn't jive for me... but after reading titles by both authors (And LOVING them) I decided to take the plunge.

these are my favorite parts:
"i think the idea of a 'mental health day' is something completely invented by poeople who have no clue what it's like to have bad mental health. the idea that your mind can be aired out in twenty-four hours is kind of like saying heart disease can be cured if you eat the right breakfast cereal. mental health days only exist for people who have the luxury of saying, "i don't want to deal with things today' and then can take the whole day off, while the rest of us are ...more

I loved everything about Tiny Cooper (I kept picturing him as Omar Benson Miller, which also helped me love him). However, the

This was my 2nd venture into John Green's world. If I hadn't read The Fault In Our Stars first, this may have gotten a 5 star rating, but this just isn't on the same level. It's incredibly good. Your heart breaks for the characters as they experience their own heartbreak. Very good.

I really wanted to like this, but it was kind of disappointing. Capitalized, straight Will Grayson was too predictable, too annoyingly "alternative," like over-the-top "Juno"-esque alternative mixed with pseudo indie for the non-indie like "(500) Days of Summer." Lowercase, gay Will Grayson was far more interesting, and I did love the culmination of Tiny Cooper's musical at the end. But really, it was hard for me to hold my attention to this book. I expected better.

I loved the concept behind this story, in which different authors write the different POVs. I wasn't super into the story but am glad I stuck with it because the end was fantastic!
