Ahhhh I started to understand why Jo Nesbo has so many fans, and why his Harry Hole series is very legendary :) I am digging it now!!! Harry Hole's 4th book was taking off very nicely, it's as if the first 3 books are just a (longish) foundation to prepare us for this book. The adventures, mysteries, and all those character development were played out very nicely here!

I loved the first half and admit to having a little crush on our Inspector Harry Hole, even with a name like that (!) However, I found my attention drifting in the second half, and I can't put my finger on why. It all seemed a bit- rushed? Too many threads going on, which I don't usually mind, but I just ended up confused and starting to lose interest. Not nearly as good as the prequel, The Redbreast, which was fantastic.
