Ok, so there are a few funny parts of this book. The ending is also pretty good, in that a) Greg realizes he's kind of a narcissistic jerk, and b) there's no fairytale, at all. But I can't get past the fact that a) as a high school teacher, I don't know any self-respecting (or even not-self-respecting) teenager whose sense of humor is so immature that they'd be talking about "brain fungus," and b) I didn't always think Earl was well-written, and I thought that Andrews might be falling into some

This is a weird one to rate. I enjoyed it a good deal, though I'm not really sure why! It was quick to read due to using varying mediums (like screenplay) to tell the story, and deals with tragedy (you no doubt know that there's a dying girl involved) in a very human way but it probably won't have you bawling.
