I read this book for a Coursera course on Fantasy and Science Fiction that I'm taking; I probably wouldn't have read it otherwise, and of course, that makes a difference in how much I liked it. I know I am in the minority here but ... I just didn’t get it. I don’t see why this one is so celebrated. I understand it’s about what it is to be human. To love and accept as humans. We are not one thing. We are the two faces of everything - man, woman, love, hate, light, dark, yin, yang. The ambisexual factor was interesting. What happens when gender and roles are stripped away?
