Oh, Agatha Christie.
There's something so comforting for me about reading an Agatha Christie. There's no concern that I might feel let down by the ending, because it will always be dramatic and absurd and/or possibly elegant. She had a great way of describing one-off characters that instantly let you know who they were and how they might react to things, even if they are British fictional characters at the first half of the twentieth century. It's been a while since the last time I read this book. The translated version, as usual, feels a bit outdated, but still quite descent. Love the unique case, Miss Marple's sharpness, and the setting that is a mixed of St Mary Mead and a beach hotel.
