Wow, I loved this one. The characters are still awesome and in fact I think they got even better. They are continuing to grow and I love them. And the plot was great, I loved all of the punchy-punchy, stabby-stabby. It was amazing getting to explore the world further and I really loved all of the twists.

And I have to wait until next year for MORE!!!! As much as I enjoyed the first part of the series, the 'spin-off' or continuation is really good. Almost a 'Firefly' bent, in that it combines Old West elements with the story. I would love to see this as a well-done movie or series. ...more

I love the plot, the twists, the turns, the reveals, and the unexpected endings.

But we hit a way too fast trope-y romance setup that I didn't like. Within the beginning to the end fo the book very suddenly Wayne & Marasi decide out of the blue they are done being in love with the people they've been in love with for two or more books, Wax & Steris are suddenly actually in love with each other, Wayne & MeLaan are suddenly together, and Marasai has a boy by the end.
