Back in July, I heard Greer Macallister speak at a bookstore. I liked her “stage” presence and way of talking. I knew of The Magician's Lie from a couple of years ago, but hadn’t had the chance to check it out. Right then and there, I bought it and added it to my TBR. She was there to talk about her latest novel, but magicians intrigue me more than detectives. However, after seeing what Greer is capable of, I’m interested in checking out Girl in Disguise now.

The main. story about a female illusionist was okay, but I really hated the setup that the story was told to a detective, trying to prove her innocence.
