Where’d you go, Steve?
Away from the phone and computer to finish this laugh-out-loud book!
Reading this was a fine Christmas present to myself plus a great book to hit my 2017 Goodreads reading challenge goal too!
The approach is unique, the writing crisp and easy and it’s an unusual yet plausible story that had me laughing on nearly every page. Even the “Reading Group Guide” at the end includes a related “story” that originally appeared in the New Yorker in the same general style of the book here ...more

I really enjoyed this funny, horrifying, and super compelling book. I was sad I had to return it to the library but quickly finished once it came back to me. I loved almost all the characters from the quirky Bernadette to her precarious daughter with the funny name.
