Nunca he sido una persona optimista y, aunque sé que mis reacciones son lo que crea mi estado de ánimo y no los hechos, siempre me ha sido difícil tomar actitudes positivas. Sin embargo, dadas las circunstancias actuales, supuse que un poco de optimismo me caería bien.

Really enjoyed this book. Lots of interviews with doctors, scientists, men and women studying the effects on the brain of keeping gratitude journals over an extended period of time. Lots of quotations. Like The Art of Stillness, there is a feeling occasionally that you are reading a term paper. That said, I found much of it fascinating. This book was decent. Lots of advice on how to appreciate the day-to-day little things in life. I listened to it while in Tennessee and there’s an entire chapter devoted to the great outdoors and how a change of scenery can make us more grateful and I’d have to agree. I also enjoyed the chapter on food and hope to apply some of those principles going forward. I also hope to remember that even in the worst times to look for the one thing to be grateful for.

Really good read, combining her experience with a yearlong 'gratitude' test and scientific backup. Definitely have started my own gratitude project.
