One of the first times I've read an entire Sedaris book and it leaves me hungering for more slightly overshared/embarassing and telltale stories from a writer and a family that if anything, lives vicariously and with zeal.

I started reading this book on an airplane and less than an hour into the flight a woman leaned over her friend to tap me on the shoulder and ask me what book I was reading 'cause I was giggling. THAT'S HOW GREAT THIS BOOK IS. It is laugh-out-loud-on-a-plane good. Each story is an amazing bit of humor and insight an it was impossible to put down. I felt bad talking to my friend who picked me up at the airport, 'cause all I wanted to do was keep reading . . .

It made me cry. In a good, laughing way. Granted, it was only once, at a chapter entitled "Big Boy." If you've read the book, you know this reflects rather poorly on me. So what if I have the sense of humor of a 10 year old boy?
