I'm done. I'm having the nomorebook sadness. Sigh. I can't wait to read the next thing Rutkoski writes.

The story opens with Kestrel on her way to a prison work camp:

I enjoyed this entire series. It is gruesome in describing some of the war fighting, which is my biggest hesitation for recommending it to YA. I loved the characters and the whole world the author created. The audio reader was perfect for this series.

Solid resolution to the series with lots of twists and turns. Note some content (violence, sexuality) may not be suitable for all readers.
