finally read this! and it was so much better than i was expecting. i mean, yes, it was kind of like summer fluff. but that is what it purports to be, and really, there is character development and growth and a dead father and a dysfunctional family and an ex-girlfriend and a road trip complete with playlists and photos.
while i agree that sometimes the scrapbook pieces threw the flow of the novel a little, but that's kind of a small thing.

a very nice reading experience indeed - thanks to Ndari who lent me this book! Road trip - bit of romance - realistic characters - emotional yet not to much - and loads of interesting places with great food, unique cameos, and unforgettable life lessons. Make me want to jump to my car and crusing the road (american roads are preferable though, hehe!)
