Clark saw this book in the pile and said he had read it and thought I would really like it. I didn't really see what the big deal was with Douglas Adams' other books, just not my style I guess. This was better. I really enjoyed it and wished there were a few more chapters.

I selected this for the 2018 BookRiot Read Harder Challenge prompt "a book about nature." Part travelogue, part scientific warning, this collaborative work takes readers around the globe learning about extremely rare and endangered species and the efforts being taken to save them. The authors travel around the world to see nearly extinct animals such as Komodo dragons, white rhinos, mountain gorillas and lemurs. Adams' humor makes this very readable and fun. I learned a lot and especially enjoyed his description of the Komodo dragons.
