I was interested in reading about the facts of the Ted Bundy murders. I think this book does a good job outlining those facts and putting them into a narrative to tell the story of Bundy. However, this book suffers some because the author seems enamored with the subject. The book (even title) is clear that Ms. Rule is not just an observer in this story, but some of her comments about Bundy and his charms are unsettling. I thought it'd be a little better, but it was definitely interesting. Heard the audio version read by Ann Rule herself and that was pretty cool. Super short! There isn't much new information but the little extra we get from Ann's perspective and her personal relationship with him, made it worth the read. This is probably the best known and certainly the most well-written biography of serial killer Ted Bundy. Rule is a Northwest writer who specializes in psychologically intriguing crimes. She was personally acquainted with Bundy and interviewed and corresponded with him for many years. This account is downright chilling.
