What Members Thought
This seems pretty typical of Backmans work, where it's slow and boring but you know all the loose threads will come together until it's omg I can't stop turning pages and boom yay!! And, of course, they're all idiots!

This was really slow and a little too sentimental for me but I totally get why other people like him so much. I guess it takes more to restore my faith in humanity!
At first I was drawn in by the quirky writing style of this book, but it quickly became grating and repetitive. None of the characters were very likable, and the interviews with the hostages were obnoxious to read. Several times I considered not finishing this book.
Wow, boy, this was A Book. Trying to do a LOT and managing in many ways.
Good story. But I don't recommend the audiobook.
