OMGEE!!!! Brandy L Rivers never ceases to amaze me with her work. I love each book more than the last!! Isadora screams sex appeal and I am surprised Toryn was able to control himself as much as he did!

Gritty, raw, real, edgy, sexy; the adjectives describing how I feel reading the books in this series, Ms. Rivers books are definitely not for the faint of heart. Her characters are well developed, the characters are not polished and refined as to be unbelievable. I liked the story line and Isa/Torryn's journey towards each other. The other characters were also interesting with all their different powers etc.

Rivers’ continues to build her world and mythology with Storm Mistress, the second in the Others of Seattle series.

All of Rivers’ heroes and heroines are strong individuals, and both Isa and Toryn live up to that standard. One of the things I love best about both is their strong sexual agency. I enjoy characters who can embrace their sexuality without shame... and Isa and Toryn work exceptionally well together as a couple, for many other reasons as well.

What an amazing journey this book took me on. Isa and Toryn are the PERFECT couple. distraught after lusting 10 years for each other. True love pro vales over anything even threw all the secrets he had to keep. Such an amazingly written story. I felt like i was pulled into another dimension while reading this. Kept me entertained for hours

Isadora and Toryn’s friendship is very much like that friendship that most women will have at some point in Brandy L Rivers’ “Storm Mistress” – Book 2 of the Others of Seattle series – takes the reader deeper into the land of the Fae and the mythology behind the characters that we’ve heard of before, but never got a full grasp of.

Isadora and Toryn’s friendship is very much like that friendship that most women will have at some point in their life. You know the one – where each party in the friendship wishes it could be more but for some reason neither is willing to risk the friendship for a chance at something more. Granted most of us probably don’t possess the types of secrets that keep these two apart, but it is in overcoming those secrets and the obstacle that they create, that can alter a friendship forever.

The two have spent many years caught up in an elaborate “dance” in which neither seems to say what is truly on their minds. But when Isa is attacked it’s clear that their secrets can no longer remain hidden. Her once unknown family is emerging from the shadows and Toryn is sworn to do whatever he can to keep her safe. The twists that Rivers incorporates in her stories leave me speechless. Characters from other (connected yet separate) series appear and play roles that upon reflection finally explain actions previously taken. Other characters step up to their potential and set us up for future stories.

It all coalesces into a love story we’ve all been waiting for – one in which we can see our own secret desires achieved with magical results. Ms Rivers is even able to make her readers understand and relate to the nerves, fears and worries that both Isa and Toryn experience – the fear of ‘will he/she understand why I have lied/omitted’ and ‘will he/she still be able to trust me after this’. Legitimate fears we all have had at some point and which are far from glossed over during the stages of their relationship.

Rivers’ ability to bring so many different mythological entities together in her stories has wowed me time and time again. Storm Mistress only serves to reinforce my awe at her story-telling abilities.

They have been skirting the issue of their feelings for each other for a long time. They are friends and want the relationship to go to the next level. Storm Mistress by Brandy L. Rivers
I just finished this book and was amazed at the depth of writing. Brandy wrote with flare and the story was intriguing. There were places where it felt was too wordy to me. But, it was still most enjoyable. I love the romance mixed in with all the twists and turns.
I adored all the “others” that were written about. Brandy made it feel like I could go to the neighborhood bar and find “others.”
I was gifted this book for an honest review.

I LOVE TORYN FLAME! Isa was a great character. Ugh, I love how this story played out. From the first sentence, I was completely hooked and it was the perfect love story!

I loved how Isa was such a badass character, and with Toryn by her side, it was unstoppable action, cuteness and just a good time.
