Tryst was a captivating read by Alex Rosa. I read this book in one sitting.

This is Skyler's story. She is in her senior year at UCLA, studying pre-med and is a gorgeous soccer player. She moved to LA with her brother Josh due to an abusive relationship with her ex-boyfriend. Josh was happy to have her around to keep an eye on her. His only rule --- don't sleep with his roommate, Blake. Blake of course got the same or The one rule that both were given, they seemed to want to break. Is it worth it?

I think there is some sort of bro code that you don't go after your best friend's sister and same goes for sibling going after the best friend....but sometimes that makes things much more interesting.

Even though Skyler seems to be rather annoyed by her first encounter with her new roommate, there is undeniable attraction between the two. What type of trouble will they get into and how long will it take them?

Blake is an actor, full of himself and hot. He also happens to be Josh's best friend. He has a reputation of having bedded most of West Hollywood. When he finally meets Skyler, he seems to set his sights on her regardless of Josh's warnings. Their first encounter was full of sexual tension. Skyler seemed rather annoyed yet extremely attracted to Blake. He seemed rather amused and attracted to Skyler right off that bat. What type of trouble will they get into and how long will it take them? With Blake's rep, what does he want with her and how will this affect his friendship with Josh? What does Skyler want and is she willing to upset her brother by breaking his one rule? Guess you'll have to read on to find out!

The story has the typical love confusion, insecurity/jealousy issues, personal baggage and character growth.
I love the chemistry between Skyler and Blake. Their story is well written and one that one can easily relate to.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m expecting to read more in the future. Thank you for a great read! ...more

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I loved this book!! sometimes the characters get a little predictable, but in this book I was presently surprised! the dynamics between all the characters was amazing. when being told to not do something, that just makes us want to do it...and so the story of tryst takes off. I loved how the story developing and never felt rushed. I will be reading more from this amazingly talented author.

Skyler had been loved, used, abused, hurt and broken. She moved away and moved in to her brother's apartment to forget. She didn't expect Blake. She wasn't supposed to get close to him. She wasn't allowed to fall in love with him. She was supposed to follow rules. But with Blake, all hell broke loose.

I met the author last Halloween in New Orleans, and it seems like her bubbly personality reflects in her writing. Not claiming I know her, but that was my impression of her.

The writing was light, but still touching difficult subjects, like the violent ex. The book was filled with suspense, gripping me to the page, wanting to read more. I read it in two days, not wanting to go to sleep or do anything else. It made me embarrassed, and I often had a smile on my lips. It was funny, and cringe-worthy ...more

I recieved a copy for a honest review. This book was really good. I gave it 4 stars because it took me a little to get into it and Skylar was annoying me most of the time. I loved Tucker and Blake though! Tucker made Skylar bearable and brought her to Earth. She just seemed childish. But overall I really liked the story and I loved the ending.

Wow, I could not put Tryst down. The story is full of 'will they/won't they' get caught moments that had me holding my breath on numerous ocassions. The heroine is totally relatable and the leading man is swoon - worthy! Tryst is a well paced, exciting and enjoyable book. Definitely a book I will want to re read!

Tryst is a new standalone romance novel. Skylar is a pre-med student and plays soccer. Although this is alluded to several times during the book, she does not actually seem committed to either. Wow. This was everything I could have wanted in a contemporary book and more. I absolutely LOVED it.

I find the best contemporary books to have the following attributes...a dramatic back story, the bad boy, a good chase and finally of course a HEA (happily ever after). Needless to say Tryst had that...and it was delivered exceptionally.

What a book. Such a good read. The story was amazing. Some parts were sad. But I loved reading this. Watching the main characters fight what there feeling for each other. Alex thank you for this amazing book. :)
