To Have and Have Not follows Harry Morgan (not to be confused with the M*A*S*H actor that played Col. Potter), who works in Cuba to provide for his family. When honest work does not prove to be effective, he is forced to take illegal measures in order to do so.

This book was honest about how people were during this time period and had short enough chapters that made it easier to read. That was about how much I liked about this book. Perhaps it was a sign of the times, but Harry's disposition tow ...more
