I tried The Man-Eater of Malgudi. I really did. I read about 70 of 173 pages. I find it a total bore. Also annoying. The characters are so stupid. A taxidemist has invited himself to live above a printer's shop. The taxidermist doesn't have to pay rent. Everybody is really annoyed b/c the dead bodies smell awfull and in fact pets are being shot. So why can't the printer just tell the taxidermist to get out?
