I read this as part of #12PlaysIn12Months and it's another I would not have picked up myself.
I really enjoyed this witty, short read.
Tartuffe has inveigled himself into the heart of Orgon's family, presenting himself as a wise and pious religious man he gains control over Orgon's mind and actions and steers them towards his own selfish gains.
The rest of the family see through Tartuffe but no reasoning on their part can lift the veil from Orgon's eyes and he would rather disinherit and lose the l ...more
