He did it to me again. I laughed & cried - often at the same time. Strange in that I think it both started off slow and then grabbed you. Took about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way before I really felt invested in the characters, but then I was hooked. Thank you Sherman Alexie for another amazing read.
I read this book because my mentor teacher was reading it with her junior classes, but I ended up just devouring it. My MT loves Sherman Alexie, and I really enjoyed this story and thought it was a great YA book for high schoolers. I was told that this is pretty much an autobiography, and I feel like it would be hard to do all of the things to a character that happen in this book without some of them actually being real.
