Absolutely beautiful. Closest thing to the meaning of life for me personally. My family on my mother's side is of the orthodoxy faith, so the novel really brought a greater understanding of it for me (I'm not religious) and a greater respect of my family's legacy. Love is all we need.
I see a lot of people compare this novel with Eco's Name of the Rose. Maybe because of the complex scope it covers, historically speaking. Don't be confused though, Eco's novel is a very well written medieval story ...more
