Tess Gerritsen is a talented writer with a long history of success and her latest Rizzoli & Isles book, Die Again, proves she remains at the top of her game. Die Again takes you on a ride from Boston to Botswana and keeps you guessing the entire way.
Rizzoli and Isles are established characters both in print and on television. While I’m familiar with some of Gerritsen’s stand alone work, this was my first Rizzoli and Isles story. Gerritsen does a good job of painting her characters so that you fe ...more

I did not like the anti-cat sentiment that is prevalent in this book -- and the preview chapter for Playing with Fire was even worse! It seems like Dr. Gerritsen either had a very bad experience with a cat, or has no experience at all with them. I know she is an extremely thorough researcher, so I was surprised when she had a character give a cat some cream. It is well known that most cats are lactose-intolerant and shouldn't have milk or cream. Aside from the cat bias, this was a typically good

Another fabulous book by Tess Gerritsen. This was kept me guessing all the way through which I love when that happens. This book was a bit different from most of Tess' other books. Part was written in first person and then the parts with Maura and Jane were written in third person. I've been seeing more books, especially in the thriller genre doing this. Its effective and interesting. I can't wait for her next book!

I must admit I'm surprised by all the high ratings on this one... I found it mediocre at best, certainly not one of Garritsen's best. The characters weren't very well developed and the ending was totally predictable. The only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 2 is that I was interested enough to want to know what happened at the end, but was glad when it was over so I could move on to something better...

Tess is one of my favorite authors )as you can tell by my profile pic) and she doesn't disappoint! This book is amazing and I love that she left Boston for a minute to head to Africa and tell her story. I love this softer version of Rizzoli and Isles and despite also loving the TV series, these ladies will always be pictured in my head as Tess intended them to be.
I highly recommend this book, and as with all her books, I learned something new-this time about large cats and the African bush. Lov ...more

Tess has done it again, this series has always been a favorite for me, and this one didnt disappoint. Has a few different locations in this one, including africa, which made it very interesting. I got this book early for a review on my kindle, but i already have the hard back ordered for my collection. Love the characters, Jane is still Jane, and Maura is back to her goofy ways again... The book itself is quite bloody, has alot of very descriptive gore, thanks to Maura, and some may find that di

1/1/24 re read: keeping the three star rating. This time around I have to note how much I enjoyed the discussions of feline behavior. This did get a bit info-dumpy, more than Gerritsen's usual style.
I enjoyed this but it lacked Gerritsen's usual finesse. ...more
