Tess Gerritsen's background in medicine really shines in this installment of the Rizzoli and Isles series. The murderer is killing women and then using ancient preservation methods on the bodies--mummification, shrunken heads, and bog bodies. Maura, the forensic pathologist then has the challenge of doing postmortems on these mummified bodies. This is where Gerritsen's science knowledge makes a powerful impact on the series. I liked the ending of this as well with twist after twist.

Nice plot, interesting story, found a little bit difficult to understand how the process of mummification works but, overall, a good book. It's the first book I've read from this author but I'll definitely read more by her.

I just love this woman's writing and added to the fact this one is about my favorite TV program, Wow what could be better. This is a fast read book, started one night and it was done the next with breath holding parts.
