4.25 This easily could have been a 5 star book for me if only it were about 100 pages shorter. It took nearly 150 pages for me to really be interested in the story. It was very slow going at first. Not only that, but I found myself looking forward to reading Etta's chapters more so over Nicholas. It took me much longer to really appreciate Nicholas as a character and that had a lot to do with the book dragging in the beginning. Technically this is a DNF. I got through half of the book but it's was so boring that I was pretty much forcing myself to read. When it gets tedious like that, then it's no longer enjoyable so why keep reading?

How am I supposed to wait a whole year until the next one?!

The atmosphere of the world and the different era created in the Passenger is amazing!
This book took me by surprise, since I'm not big on "time travel" genre. I just love the writing style, the details of each era. The characters - there are so much to be learn about them still! The book might feels slow at the beginning, but I can see why. There is a reason to build the characters up.
Also, Etta and Nicholas! Need I say more?
The ending - gosh the ending!! Cliffhanger! I can't wait for the next ...more
