It's been quite some time since I read the first two books in this trilogy, so my memory of them is faint at best, but I wanted to finish up the series. I do recall liking The Year of the Flood (#2) better than Oryx and Crake (#1), and I think reading the third book was satisfying from a narrative closure perspective, although the concepts that Atwood creates weren't quite as fresh and arresting as they were when I first encountered them. What I did like best about this volume was the shifting between different modes of storytelling, which gave it a hint of the Biblical / epic, through emphasizing oral tradition and how it's created out of the need to explain the weirdness of the world around you. I'd recommend reading all three books back-to-back, so as not to lose momentum the way I feel I did.
