I took me a long time to read the book and an even longer to decide to write a (short) review... because directly after reading it the review would have been an epic work in itself ;-)
Now it has been so long I can hardly remember what I wanted to mention...
I had the feeling, the author hasn't decided which book to write, as if she once upon a time had written a very complex essay about the picture and built the book around that.

This novel was a thoroughly engrossing read, brilliantly written. The protagonist and narrator of the story is Theo Decker, who relates his thoughts and experiences throughout the work. He's complex, emotionally charged, one of the best literary characters ever created. There is so much going on in this story and with all the twists and turns you never know where it will lead.
