I finished this epos yesterday and at first could not place my throughs - did I like it/did I not? It came to me this morning - I felt disappointed and cheated. I read (dragged myself sometimes, skimmed and skipped pages) with the last pages telling me I know need to read the second part of the trilogy as this book did not really answer any of the questions I had.

Absolutely wonderful read, the author has wolven together a story that is not only enjoyable with the many varied characters but well written. The two protagonists are an unlikely pair, a witch and a vampire who break down barriers and together they go on a perilous journey to find secrets to a manuscript written in ages past. Magical, thrilling, mysterious, historical and romantic are just some of the many aspects of this novel. Anyone who likes a fantasy which is highly entertaining would love
