This is the abridged Version oft the book.
As I per chance had a (unread) German translation of the book, I read it parallel to hearing it ( hear a chapter, than read it).

Venetia und der Wüstling

This way I could enjoy the hearing experience and got to read those parts missed out in the audio.

So, I really enjoyed the book. It is witty and fun, in parts predictable, in others not. I liked reading Heyer books when I was younger and it seems I still do.

This is my third audio book by this author and once again narrated by Richard Armitage. I thoroughly enjoyed all three stories and the different voices for each character was amazing and so entertaining. Most people seem to think that this is the best of the books written by Georgette Heyer but I enjoyed all the stories equally. In this one the main difference seems to be the lead female protagonist Venetia who is a strong willed and bright young lady. She is not going to do anything she doesn't ...more

Ich habe das Buch parallel zum Audiobuch gehört, d.h. immer abwechselnd erst das Kapitel des gekürzten Audiobooks auf englisch, dann das das gleiche Kapitel im Buch gelesen.
Dadurch hatte ich den Spaß des Hörens und konnte dann feststellen, was gekürzt worden war.
