I very much enjoyed reading this story about the lesser known character of Harriet from Jane Austen's Emma.
The story begins with Harriet being brought to Mrs. Goddard's school to be brought up and continues to where Mrs. Goddard sends her to dinner with one of the local families in Highbury whose 2 daughters also attend the school. Harriet figures she will remain at the school as a teacher.
