I loved this second in a series but it is not at the end of the tale. So for those of you who want the entire story in hand before beginning to read...you may want to wait.

I did so enjoy this further telling of the integration between humans who "hear" dragons, those who are dragon-deaf and the whole of dragon society. And we find that even dragons have human faults, feelings and frailties. Separation anxiety? Yes, baby Pemberley has been banished from the Longbourn estate by its major dragon, u

What a delightful book and audiobook. I found myself completely absorbed in the story of Elizabeth Bennet, Fitzwilliam Darcy, dragons, and more. Baby Pemberley is beyond adorable. I know she’s a major dragon and going to grow very large, but I want to cuddle with her.

In this, the second book in this series, Elizabeth must leave Longbourn or be forced to marry Mr. Collins, something she cannot bring herself to do. Longbourn, the estate dragon, insists that she does. Elizabeth has no choice but to

Another great segment in this Jane Austen's Dragons series. This one started a little slower for me than the first book, but it was another well written and captivating segment of the story. We get to meet more fun dragon friends in both London and Kent. During the part of the story that takes place in Kent, it was very unexpected and kind of fun to see how Lady Catherine was portrayed. While I have seen variations with kinder versions of Lady C, I've never seen one where her dominance was secon ...more

Longbourn Dragon Entail is the second in the Jane Austen Dragons series by Maria Grace. The first was Pemberley. This novel is as enjoyable as the first one.

It takes up the story where it left off in the first novel. Pemberley, the baby dragon has been carted off to Rosings at the insistence of Longbourn the estate dragon who’s jealous of the bond between Elizabeth and Pemberley. Elizabeth doesn’t know it’s Longbourn’s fault and blames Darcy.

Mr Bennet and Longbourn the estate dragon, are still i

Much more interesting than book 1, with lots happening. Great world building. With a brief introduction, this book could pretty much stand alone.

The downside is the large amount of text used from the original, often not changed enough to make proper sense. Even more strangely, much of the original dialogue is used almost verbatim but said by a different person, which is off putting - Collins using Darcy and Lady Catherine’s speeches during his proposal was just weird.

The pacing of the story is a bit slow for me. So the first half of the book dragged a bit for me. But it certainly picked up speed in the second half.
I like the world the author has constructed and is excited to see what happens in book three

An excellent 4.5* read

Another excellent book in this series - highly recommended even for those who, like me, are not automatically drawn to the fantasy genre.
