I have now read 15 of this author's stories. I have highly enjoyed all of them and plan to read those I have not yet read. This story caught my attention immediately and kept me turning pages.
This is a modern story set in the Hill Country of Texas. (My husband was stationed at Fort Hood in Texas from 1969 to 1971 so we explored much of that state while there.) AMAZING
Another absolutely wonderful and beautifully emotional romance by the amazingly talented L.L. Diamond. A fabulous premise, unusual characters and you are going to fall in love and not come up for air until the end. I laughed, I sighed, I cried and I cheered. Now to eagerly await her next fabulous story.

A charming modern version of P&P with Lizzie being a very capable veterinarian.
Darcy has been trampled by his father and ex fiancé Anne, so he relocates to Texas with his horses. Which means a new relationship is very far from his mind, though there is a strong chemistry between ODC.
Mary is being very likeable and clever, which I always enjoy. (I feel, she has the hardest position in the Bennet family, the lonely middle sibling). Jane and Bingley are already marri ...more

A fairly sweet and cutesy modern book. I enjoyed the setting and the vet storyline. There are certain elements of the original but it’s not really P&P. The names/relationships are the same/similar, but the characters - especially those with any depth - aren’t imo. The plot is fast paced. I did question how realistic it is make so many big life decisions without ever actually having a conversation, but it works out in book land and they are very sweet together so I still enjoyed it.
