It is'nt one of those books where the whole story is leading upto something and then in the end-WHAM!!It's a really slow paced telling of the life of a small girl growing into a woman,who makes stupid choices,knowing they're wrong.It's the story of a woman who tries to adapt to the society when she is confused as to what she wants to do.It's a beautifully written story of the love between a woman and her best I am not a weeper.I am not an overly emotional person.But,man,this book really moved me.
It is'nt one of those books where the whole story is leading upto something and then in the end-WHAM!!It's a really slow paced telling of the life of a small girl growing into a woman,who makes stupid choices,knowing they're wrong.It's the story of a woman who tries to adapt to the society when she is confused as to what she wants to do.It's a beautifully written story of the love between a woman and her best friend.It is about her coming to terms with those feelings for the robot.It is the tale of defying age,class,species,society and culture.

I can't say I loved the MC though.It was one stupid mistake after another,where she didn't even realise she was hurting her one best friend.But I understood why she was doing what she was doing.I understood her love for him but I also got why she tried to have her happy ending with the other guy.

I fell in love with Finn.He is everything I'd want in a guy.He's patient,kind,sweet and mature.He's also like a young boy trying to understand his feelings for Kat. But most of all,I think my feelings for him was based on how Kat felt for him.Like,for example when she kisses as him as an adoloscent,I understood the desire.Or when she dances with him on her wedding,I felt the tight ball of clay at the pit of her stomach like my own.As the book unravelled,I realised I was in love with Finn too,him being a robot and all.

I loved almost everything in the book.
I loved how the small girl who feared the new guy with ghost like eyes,came to fall in love with him.I liked how dispassionate kat was towards almost everything,drifting through the wind and just going with it.I think it aptly represents how all of us feel sometimes,disconnected in the most primitive sense. The writing style was fairly simple and it still managed to hold my interest through the whole book.
For example, We are told about this lemon tree which Kat and her mom had planted when she was a kid.Then,we find that the tree grows with her.Her dad is found beneath that very tree,unconscious and her kid plays under that tree.
Another example is the tapestry that Kat is stitching for Finn.During the process she is making that tapestry,we see her loving him,getting married to another guy,him going away,her having a child and him coming home.

I am not a reviewer cause most of the time my head's this giant mess that I can't really put across how i feel about a book.I can't figure out if I am happy the book ended a certain way or if I'm hoping for a better ending.I can't make up my mind if the characters in the book are making are making stupid decisions or smart ones.So,I refrain from writing reviews.
But ,this book really moved me and i felt like I really had to say something.So I brought out some semblance of definity to my thoughts and am writing this.So,don't pay any heed to my review if you're looking for a particular kind of book and my review entices that-book-looking part of you
