After reading Oryx and Crake, I was enjoying this series; by the end of The Year of the Flood, I'm hooked.
Instead of following Jimmy (a bit of a prat, let's be honest, and too wrapped up in himself to really give you a full idea of what's going on with other people), this time our time is split between Toby and Ren, two women with connections to Gods Gardeners. Finished! Hooray! And, even better, just when I thought Margaret Atwood couldn't improve, that she'd reached the apex of her writing, she proves me wrong. So that's a bonus. My only quibble- the terse, truncated ending. Otherwise amazing.
