Having essentially wrapped up her major storyline in Stalking Darkness, Flewelling explores Seregil's complicated past and homeland in this third installment of her excellent Nightrunner fantasy series. Flewelling should stop at two. She develops excellent stories over her first two books, and the third one becomes long, drawn out, and considerably less interesting. That being said, since I'm in love with the two main characters and their relationship, I can't help enjoying any book written about them. Sword and sorcery, gay theme.
The fantasy narrative kind of drags, but the m/m love scenes between Alec and Seregil are still hot.
