What Members Thought

This book is part of the gay fiction canon but it feels more like an artifact than a story that will be lovingly read and re-read for years.
Public opinion on homosexuality has shifted dramatically since the late 1980s, so that's part of it. Without the whiff of judgment and scandal that must have made this book interesting to people back then, it's a pretty pedestrian read.
