What Members Thought
Delightful magical realist tale set in Los Angeles, where I grew up. Read the Weetzie Bat series first; this is a sequel in which Weetzie Bat is pushing 40. All the musical references are from my youth, so I may be a little prejudiced. Still, I think Francesca Lia Block is one of the finest young adult writers around, as well as a natural lyric poet and spinner of images.
