What Members Thought

I forced myself to finish this book all the way through even though I really disliked it. What's up with all that animal / Animal crap? This book is not at all allegorical to anything. It has nothing to say with any real-world implications.
The best part of this book is the illustrations and cover art. And oh yeah, I kind of thought the sex scenes were hot.
Maybe I'll like the musical because I hear it has nothing in common with the book except the character names.

awful. I know this is a popular book, but when I finished it I throw it across the room. I feel like the author had a fantasy character in mind and didn't know how to get a book deal. So, he put the skin of the wicked witch over his character and went with it. Yuck. Don't get it. Walk on by.

This is a brilliant re-telling of THE WIZARD OF OZ that will change the way you look at that classic work forever! Elphaba is an awesome character who shouldn't, but still does, end up stealing your heart and earning your sympathy.

I read this around going to see the play. I loved the idea, but it got really really bogged down in politics. I don't think I'm going to try any of his other books.
