The second book I've read by Julie Anne Peters, KEEPING YOU A SECRET is another sure-fire winner about the highs and lows of first love, the terror and joy of "coming out", and the good and the bad that is the thing called family.

Holland is a very relatable character. However, her thoughts really seemed unrealistic at times. It really felt like-insta love, but at the same time, I wonder if Peters was trying to capitalize on the whole youthful love bit, if so she did manage that. It still felt rushed and shallow at times when she and Cece were together. It wasn't spectacular by any stretch, but for a coming of age/coming out type book it was decent. ...more
