Super cute and not as predictable as I had originally thought. It was so easy to relate to Simon's whirlwind of emotions (mostly in a nostalgic kind of way, thank goddess). Simon is delightful, albeit annoyingly teenaged. I would have read this book a million times in secret and hidden it under my bed, so I wish it had been around when I was a teenager.

Part of me wishes "Blue" had been the narrator instead of Simon. Maybe it would be a little too Rainbow Boys if we heard the same story from his perspective.

Loved the candor, humor and heartfelt perspective of a teenaged boy fumbling into his first love and coming out under pressure.

The premise of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda is a bit twisted. Teenagers can truly be cruel and just a tad sadistic at times. Somehow, though, this was on

It's a quick read -- you'll probably be able to finish it in about the running time of the movie (Love, Simon; definitely a better title) that was made from it.

I think it was well done, and I'm glad it exists. It didn't completely blow me away, but it has likeable characters, a reasonably diverse cast, quotable lines and a solid ending -- in particular, I appreciated that (view spoiler).
