With a title like Jungle Heat, I expected a more vividly described setting. A brief mention of snakes, insects, humidity, and chittering birds just wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to feel the heat, feel how hard it is to maneuver through vines, undergrowth and tree roots, feel the danger of poisonous plants and animals, and the physical toll such a climate and landscape has on those not entirely accustomed to it.
