Ooh, I liked this one! High-energy, intense emotion. It had a very rich landscape and a strong world it worked in. Really enjoyed all of it. The author writes well, with no huge info dumps in the middle of the story. Details, back history, and information was layered into the story organically.
My only quibble is that our lead, Aleron, sorta lost some of his oomph half-way through the book. He started off as a kind of quick-witted pirate character, and then sort of petered out a little and diffe ...more

Superb world-building. Planet and races are unusual and interesting.
In the beginning it said he either didn't dream or never remembered his dreams and now he's talking about his dreams and falling farther into sleep.
It was said and it often seems that a cycle is about two Earth days. But at other times it feels like it's referring to months or years.
They fell in love way way too fast.
