What Members Thought
I didn't enjoy it quite as much as The Alloy of Law.
It's quite a short book, more novella than novel really. I get the feeling that it's mostly setting up the third book. Having said that, I found Well of Ascension a bit of a slog, so I guess I prefer a short full book than a long padded out one.
I still really like the characters though. Wax is quite serious all the time, but the dialogue between Wayne and pretty much anyone else is Scalzi-like in its zinginess. ...more
