It's rare that a fantasy book really strikes me as being unique, but Gardens Of The Moon is such a book. Erikson dumps the reader into a complex fantasy world, then constantly jumps from character to character and city to city, all with virtually no background or explanation. If you like heavy back stories, well defined ,magic systems and centuries long world building your going to be disappointed.... actually if you like having a rough understanding of much of what is going on in a book you wil ...more
