What Members Thought
This was a fun, rousing tale of a group of Gentlemen Bastards -- thieves and con artists. The book moves along at a good clip and presents a grittier take on the fantasy genre. I love that the characters survive by their wits, and are good at what they do, but are not powerful or superhuman.
This was the shit! The in between chapters explaining the history of the city and the world were clumsey but the main story had alot of abercrombie style to it.
A suspenseful story of high intrigue (and even higher profanity) that occasionally beggars belief. 5-star book but for the dips into excruciatingly graphic violence that had me questioning if I could get through it. In the end, I'm glad that I did.
