I’m a big Scalzi fan, and I think this might be my favorite book of his.
Lock in manages to be both a page turning crime thriller and a fantastic sci-fi look at disabilities, discrimination and prejudice. Damn good action-mystery, though the 'bad guy' and their ploy were telegraphed pretty early on. Also worth reading for the addenda afterwards, which were incredibly touching. Two audiobook versions exist, I listened to the one narrated by Amber Benson, who did a stellar job.

It was pretty decent, but it didn't really grab me as much as I hoped it would. It did stay mostly interesting all the way through the book though.
